this was so good, and it made the whole of our mouths numb. Not from being hot, but a very unique flavour. Defo make again!
I used 1 tsp of the chilli powder
So my chinese friend told me that there are 2 types of chinese chilli flavour. One is spicy, the other is numbing. Szechuan peppercorns/powder are numbing. I told him i cooked this and that our mouths got all tingly and he laughed and said that was the desired effect, so success!
