Sun Dried Tomato Pasta - Jordi and Ikey favorite pasta dish

 1 bottle of sliced sun dried tomatoes in oil 2 cans crushed tomates 2 cloves garlic 2 onions 2 tbsp raw sugar pinch chilli flakes (to taste) Shell pasta 500g Pour the oil from the sun dried tomato paste into a saucepan sautee garlic and onions till soft add sun dried tomatoes and crushed tomatoes add sugar and chilli flakes Cook down until thick and creamy Cook and drain pasta, add sauce, mix up and serve

Pad Thai - 7/10

 https://thefoodietakesflight.com/vegan-pad-thai/#wprm-recipe-container-10979 (there is a vegan recipe for the fish sauce in the recipe) so the verdict on this one was that it was a really good noodle dish, but not a great pad thai dish.  not enough peanut-y. a little too acidic.  less or no lime in the sauce perhaps, more sugar? Next time scatter more crushed peanuts when sauteing.  Not peanuty enough. 

Foodie Szechuan Kung Pao Tofu - V good 8/10

I used 1 tsp of the chilli powder  So my chinese friend told me that there are 2 types of chinese chilli flavour.  One is spicy, the other is numbing.  Szechuan peppercorns/powder are numbing.  I told him i cooked this and that our mouths got all tingly and he laughed and said that was the desired effect, so success!

Miso Butter Mazemen (Japanese No Broth Ramen) - 6/10

Accompaniments were sauteed in sesame oil sprinkled with sesame seeds - bean sprouts - julienned carrots - shitake mushrooms - corn kernels topped with shallots and a soft boiled egg

Sweet, Spicy and Saucy Noodles - everyone liked it, sauce was good. 6/10

Potato Soup - Thermomix

Add Leeks, Onion & Garlic to bowl.  Chop 5secs, speed 5. 2. Add Butter to bowl.  Cook 5mins, speed 1, 100C, scraping down sides of bowl half way through cooking. 3.  Add Potatoes and cook another 5mins, speed 1, 100C. 4.  Add Stock and cook 20mins, speed 2, 100C, or until potatoes are soft. 5. Puree 45secs by placing MC on lid and gradually increasing speed to speed 8, until mixture is smooth. 6.
